Heritage Windows, Kitchen & Staircases – Lake on the Mountain, PEC
The Vision:
A full church restoration brought new life to this historic space. We reproduced the original tracery church windows, built two new staircases and a balcony, and created a custom kitchen using lumber reclaimed from the building’s original floor joists.
The Materials & Execution:
Executed within a budget-conscious framework, the project prioritized quality and craftsmanship. Softwoods were carefully selected to achieve a refined finish while maintaining cost efficiency. The reproduction windows were upgraded with thermopane glazing to provide modern comfort and energy performance. A dual-height Juliette balcony animates the entrance vestibule, creating a dramatic and breathtaking arrival. The kitchen was designed with clean, simple lines, anchored by an island crafted from floor joists reclaimed from the church itself.
If you are considering a similar project, we would be pleased to discuss how it might take shape in your own space.
